Dilaudid Addiction
Dilaudid addiction occurs gradually, typically through a patient's self-administration of medication.
Dependent patients do not intentionally choose to become
addicted to their Dilaudid prescription. Dilaudid
addiction is the consequence of a drug dependency that
has not been treated, but has arisen from self-medication
due to:
- Physical pain
- Emotional pain
- Withdrawal avoidance
(and, sometimes, recreation drug use).
Over-medication triggers a physical dependency. The
effects of numbing opiates must be removed before
further care or counseling can effect lasting change
from dependency.
Patients no longer need to turn to other painful, ineffective
detox or rehab methods. Medically induced rapid
detoxification, while the patient is under anesthesia,
reverses Dilaudid addiction and dependency.

Signs of Dilaudid Addiction
If untreated, dependency demands additional opiates to
achieve the same pain-relief effect (or, likewise, to
defer the agony of withdrawal due to a broken supply). Learn
more about
Dilaudid withdrawal and its symptoms:
- Aching limbs
- Cascading bodily reactions
- Cold sweats
- Depression
- Distress
- Mounting anxiety
- Nausea
- Unbearable pain
- Uncontrollable diarrhea
- Vomitin
Untreated, Dilaudid addiction will take control.
Dilaudid Addiction and the Waismann Method
The Waismann Method of Rapid Detoxification maintains
its leading position in treating the medical condition
of physical Dilaudid addiction and dependency. The
Waismann Method sets the standard by which other addiction
treatments are measured. We are committed to changing
the way the world has viewed drug dependency:
- Dilaudid addiction is no longer a hidden and shameful
disease of the stereotypical "drug addict," but
rather a treatable condition caused by a legitimate
chemical imbalance.
The Waismann Method utilizes the most advanced medical
techniques available for opiate dependency:
- Dilaudid addiction patients are also treated with
the highest level of professionalism, dignity and
respect.
The procedure takes place in a full service hospital
to provide close monitoring, where patients are admitted
the day before for a complete medical evaluation:
- It is imperative that patients spend 24 to 48 hours
in-patient so pre-medication can be properly administered
to stabilize body functions, which helps to achieve
a smooth and safe procedure to detox Dilaudid addiction.
Medically induced withdrawal is controlled and closely
monitored by either Dr. Bernstein or Dr. Lowenstein,
both Board Certified anesthesiologists who are nationally
recognized for their expertise in pain management and
the use of the Waismann Method for Dilaudid addiction.
- Upon awakening, the patient is no longer physically
dependent on opiates and has no conscious awareness
of experiencing Dilaudid addiction withdrawal during
the procedure.
- After detox, patients are transferred to the intensive
care unit, and monitored to stabilize their mental
and physical condition.
- Patients are usually discharged at least 24 to
48 hours after Dilaudid addiction detox, or when
authorized by our physicians.
We are proud to offer our patients the best procedure
medicine has to offer for Dilaudid addiction and opiate
dependency, with utmost concern for their safety, comfort
and success.
The Waismann Method of Rapid Detoxification allows
patients to resume their lives free
of Dilaudid addiction and dependency
on opiates.
